Cleansing Spring Arugula Pesto

Help digestion and lower blood pressure.
This pesto is easy to make and cleansing for the liver and gallbladder. I recommend making this in the springtime.  Arugula has a handful of great health benefits, it is helpful with digestion and it lowers the blood pressure. Pregnancy is a time when women should be eating more folate, iron, calcium and zinc and arugula is packed with all of these things.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 pinch Salt To Taste
  • 1/4 cup Almonds

Instructions

  • Pack all of the ingredients into a blender turn the blender on low and slowly drizzle the olive oil in while the ingredients are blending.
  • Once all of the oil is in turn up the blender and blend until the desired texture.
  • I like to leave my pesto a bit chunky but that is entirely up to you.

Notes

  • This pesto is great for the springtime because it cleans the liver and gallbladder.
  • Arugula has a spicy bitter taste that the liver and gallbladder like.
  • The lemon is also really good for the liver
  • The almonds are sweet in nature which is good for the stomach.
