Everyday Avocado Toast

Equipment

  • Something to toast a slice of bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Hard Boiled Egg
  • 1 Ripe Avocado
  • 2 Slices Sourdough Bread
  • 2 tbsp Pomegranate Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes
  • 1 tsp Black Sesame seeds
  • 1 pinch Maldon Salt

Instructions

  • Mash up the avocado with a fork and add a drizzle of olive oil
  • Boil the egg for about 7 minutes depending on how runny you want the yoke to be.
  • Toast the sourdough bread.
  • Spread the mashed avocado on top of the sourdough bread.
  • Sprinkle with the pomegranate seeds and chili flakes.
  • Peel and slice the hard boil egg thin and place it on top.
  • Sprinkle with black sesame seeds and a pinch of maldon salt.
  • Drizzle with olive oil to taste.

Notes

  • Avocados are sweet and cool in nature and are known for the ability to tonify the blood and the yin.  Eggs are sweet in nature and supplement the qi and blood. 
  • Black sesame seeds strengthen the kidneys & the chili flakes move the qi. 
  • This avocado toast is perfect balance of creating energy and nourishment.
  • It is a great meal to eat a week before menstruation.
