Guacamole to Nourish Your Yin
Delicious and simple guacamole recipe
Avocado is a delicious creamy fruit and one of my favourites. It has one of the highest mono-saturated fatty acid content for fruit and the smallest amount of saturated and polyunsaturated fats, which translates as it contains really good fats to lubricate the intestines and help with constipation. It also has 3 times the potassium of a banana. Enjoy this delicious and simple guacamole recipe.
The peas add a sweet flavour to the guacamole and a little twist to the original guacamole, leaving your guests wondering what secret ingredient you added. Peas have phytochemicals that help support the body’s antioxidant defence. Plus, they have B vitamins folate and thiamine, along with decent amounts of niacin, vitamin B6, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Peas are a way to add colour, flavour, sweetness and loads of vitamins to your meals.

Notes
- Avocado is cool, and a bit sweet in Chinese medicine and is great for people who are experiencing hot symptoms like hot flashes, constipation, night sweats, a dry cough and an itchy rash.
- Cilantro is also a cooling herb that moves the qi and helps with a lack of appetite and nausea.
